Aside

Get me a seat
Cos I don’t get it
I refuse to understand
What my friend keeps saying:
That I should honour her
She gave up on me
Refused me my rights
Disowned me for their sake
Laughed at my misfortunes
Added to my heavy pains
Partial on her dealings
with me
Shared her inheritance for them
Forgettoing I ever existed
Denied me peace of mind
Removed my undergarment
Shamed me publicly
And acted deaf to my pleas.
Yet, you ask me to consider her
She gave up on me
Why shouldn’t I?
Good turn they say
Deserves another
Is the case different for bad turns?
Come out my brother
Explain to me
Least I get tired of sitting.

WHY SHOULDN’T I?

RAINY SUMMER

The vulture is looking sexy
The grave is in confusion
Its noise is deafening
The sun rise from the north
The king bows to his subjects
The father married the daughter
The mother married the son
The monks have left the abbot
In search of wives
The nuns are now social workers
Judas became honest
The moon shines in the midday
The desert experienced flood.
Why all these things?
I asked my deaf friend
My blind friend said he saw the cripple jump
Alas! now i know why…
Two great men just left the scene….
And the earth witnessed a whirlwind
